I'm Kind of Confused -
Sooo, Recently I've seen some posts on university pages, about people that have started "Pro - Life" groups which outraged some people that are "Pro - Choice" sparking their call to start a Pro Choice group.
Pro - Choice people calling the Pro - Life group Poisonous and roughly quoted that "They should stop living in the dark ages"
Um... I'm sorry, if I may, y'all know that it's THE natural method to CREATE HUMAN life, Through that interaction between a man and a woman, right??????
I mean i'm not like judge and jury here but, if you don't want kids, don't do it??
Personally, I don't believe you should be able to just take away the consequences of making that choice to do that? Or ANY consequence for any of our actions, after all for every action there's a reaction, right?
I'm pretty Black and White about most things, so much so that I have trouble understanding what people call the "Grey Areas" which to me is anything I have difficulty understanding.
Anyway, to reiterate I'm not in any way offended or anything like that, this is more so an effort to understand an opinion/stance/view point that I don't share/understand.
Okay so in an effort to understand... Pro Choice are okay with people "terminating/ aborting/ Killing (whatever term you want to call it) a life because it's not what was expected/wanted at that time of life??? because it;s believe that it's a right/ Freedom to choose what happens with your own body?
well......... I didn't realize it was that easy to escape the consequences of our actions?? 🤔
Although in certain cases where the choice to preform that action was taken away, there should be lenience because the choice was taken away. (Yes I am talking about people who have been raped, the offender who committed this crime should be dealt with appropriately and I have MANY opinions about the justice system and how it's running today believe you me not all of them are nice)
It's the extreme but what would happen if we took away the consequences for people committing crimes?
Murder is a crime isn't it? How is this any different from murder? (I really only want to understand) is it because the fetus hasn't formed a conscious yet? What separates one person murdering another from this situation??
I genuinely don't see a difference on a basic level... because at the end of the day a life is still ended from whatever angle you look at it. right?
Do you have anything that could help me be more accurately informed on this situation? FOR BOTH SIDES?
Also! while we are on the topic of opposing views something that really confuses me, why do people get so vocal about their own opinions but as soon as another one comes along, they dismiss or try to shut it down because it's not their own?
I genuinely do not understand, why people get so offended by an opposing view???
I work on a facts/ evidence/ experienced based system. throw your knowledge at me. I want to see it all.
Can people not just agree to disagree?
